The Pastor provides spiritual leadership and guidance to both the shelter’s guests and staff. They will lead daily prayers, offer counseling, and provide pastoral care to those in need. The Pastor’s role is to share the message of Christ’s love and hope with all who come through the doors, providing a compassionate presence for individuals who may be struggling spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

In addition to pastoral duties, the Pastor will collaborate with local churches to build spiritual partnerships and coordinate volunteer involvement. The Pastor should have a heart for evangelism and service, particularly among marginalized and homeless populations.

Requirements:

  • Ordained pastor with experience in outreach ministry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bible and Christian counseling.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to serving the homeless.
  • Meets the qualifications for Biblical Elder in 1 Timothy 3.

They must also report regularly on the board's activities and the overall health of the ministry, collaborating closely with the Freedom Bus team and management.

The Chairperson will serve as the primary leader and visionary for the Freedom Bus Ministry. In this role, they will ensure the Organization fulfills its mission to provide mobile, faith-based emergency services in Jesus' name. The Chairperson will work closely with the Board of Directors to set long-term goals, maintain accountability, and uphold the shelter’s spiritual and operational integrity. They will also represent the Organization in external partnerships, fundraising efforts, and public engagements, ensuring alignment with the shelter’s Christian values.

Additionally, the Chairperson is responsible for overseeing strategic decision-making and ensuring compliance with all legal and financial requirements. They must cultivate strong relationships with local churches, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration. Leadership experience and a deep commitment to serving in Christ’s name are essential for this role.

  • Proven Leadership experience, preferably in non-profit management and Christian ministry
